GENERAL PRACTITIONER
Kaleido Health Centre is currently seeking General Practitioners to join our multidisciplinary team and support our expanding client base.
This role is ideal for a GP who values collaborative, person-centred healthcare and wants to be part of an innovative, affirming service dedicated to improving health outcomes for LGBTQ+ communities.
The Role:
- Part-time or full-time opportunities available
- 70% of billings
- Mixed billing health centre
- An onboarding retainer of $175/hr or 70% of billings, whichever is higher, for the first 3 months.
- LGBTQ+ inclusive and affirming General Practice medicine.

About You:
- Vocationally Registered (VR) GP or FRACGP
- Current AHPRA registration and full working rights in Australia
- Current medical indemnity insurance

About Us:
Kaleido Health Centre (“Kaleido”) is a new, purpose-built multidisciplinary health service, the first of its kind in NSW, providing high-quality, inclusive, and person-centred care for sexuality and gender diverse (LGBTQ+) communities.
We offer a welcoming and collaborative clinical environment where General Practitioners are central to delivering integrated care across a broad range of services, including general practice, mental health, gender-affirming care, alcohol and other drug support, and cancer screening and prevention.
Our model has been developed in close consultation with LGBTQ+ communities, with a focus on meeting unmet and urgent healthcare needs through safe, affirming, and trauma-informed care. As the service grows, additional disciplines and providers will join the team, creating more opportunities for integrated, multidisciplinary care.
Although Kaleido was established through years of advocacy led by ACON, it operates as a separate, independent service with its own Board, Mission and Values, and a unique scope of delivery tailored to the needs of LGBTQ+ people in NSW.

Ok, so what’s the role?
The Primary Health Care Nurse (Registered Nurse Level 2) delivers high-quality, compassionate primary healthcare services to the LGBTQ+ community and provides clinical support and guidance to level 1 Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and student nurses.
You will:
• Provide high-quality nursing care to clients, ensuring a client-centred approach that respects diversity and individual needs.
• Work in partnership with Kaleido’s General Practitioners to deliver clinical services to the LGBTQ+ community.
• Collaborate with a diverse range of health and support service providers from the NGO government and private sector and operate under a truly integrated model of care.
• Have the opportunity to work within a broad scope of practice, including refining and utilising clinical skills in providing sexual health services, mental health services, and gender affirming healthcare.
• Lead Kaleido’s infection prevention and control program and vaccination service and contribute as a Clinical Risk Management Committee member.

As a Medical Receptionist at Kaleido Health Centre, you play a key role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all clients. You will be the first point of contact at the clinic, helping ensure a smooth and respectful experience for everyone accessing our healthcare services, with a strong commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusive care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a warm, professional, and inclusive welcome to clients and visitors at the front desk.
- Managing appointments, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations, to support smooth clinic operations.
- Supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks such as preparing patient records, handling correspondence, and maintaining organised documentation.
- Working closely with team members to ensure efficient patient flow and a high standard of service across the clinic.
- Upholding a respectful and inclusive environment, with attention to the unique needs of the LGBTQ+ community and all clients.

The Accredited Mental Health Social Worker will join a small yet dynamic mental health team to provide inclusive, trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health treatment and psychosocial intervention for LGBTQ+ individuals of all ages.
This role reports directly to the Clinical Lead, Mental Health & Peer Support and will provide direct clinical care to a variety of sexuality and gender diverse clients seeking care at Kaleido Health Centre.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has:
- Full current registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW);
- Demonstrated experience in the psychosocial assessment and evidence-based therapeutic intervention for a broad range of mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity, and challenges related to sexuality and gender diversity;
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the implementation of a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including CBT at a minimum;
- Demonstrated direct clinical experience working with LGBTQ+ populations across the lifespan, through a trauma-informed and gender-affirming lens;
- Sophisticated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships;
- An understanding of and commitment to Kaleido’s communities, including a demonstrated insight into the social and population-level factors that may impact the mental and physical health and well-being of LGBTQ+ people.
