Bec Caton

Biography:

Bec is a psychologist (Clinical Psychologist registrar) with experience working across public health settings with young people, adults, and families. She has supported clients with a range of concerns, including depression, complex PTSD, and substance use, and has a particular interest in working with anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Bec is passionate about providing inclusive, affirming care for LGBT+ communities and has experience supporting people living with HIV. Her approach is grounded in an attachment- and trauma-informed lens, recognising how early life experiences shape mental health.

Bec primarily works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, and also draws on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and schema-informed approaches to tailor therapy to each person’s needs. She aims to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported.

Bec holds a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and an Honours degree from The University of New South Wales and a Master of Clinical Psychology from The University of Sydney.
